I personally wasn't a big fan of Kobe steak. It was the best steak I have her had but I guess my expectations were way too high. The chef doesn't talk much while cooking and seemed super serious. Anyways, food was good but environment wasn't quite it for me.

In short: Best meal I ever had! I was worried before of Kobe beef is worth the money, but now 1. I know yes, 2. I know why: because just Tajima beef (a smaller kind, pedigree beef) is the real Kobe beef, and it's not just any beef from the area of Kobe. If you want to build your own opinion, you should definitely go here! Because this absolute awesome cook has the right connections to get this best quality meet. Also his mother is still working here and makes garlic rice, which is awesome as well. My highest recommendation:if you want to spend the money for Kobe beef, eat it here!

Chef was extremely hospitable and was able to accommodate me without a reservation, but only because there happened to be a party of 11 and an empty seat. Definitely best to make a reservation beforehand so he is properly prepared for you. I was actually really impressed with the house red wine that was just 1,000 yen per glass, but very good. Obviously you are here for the steak and it 100% exceeded my expectations. Perfect amount of melt in your mouth marbled fat content and chef provided some history on the cut, ranch it came from etc. which was really interesting. His 90yo mother there to cook her signature garlic rice, really made the experience for me. Super sweet lady and perfect additional side dish to the Tajima Steak and veggies that make up the standard meal. Go 200g, you’re here, why cheat yourself from a bit more of an exquisite indulgence?

Chef was amazing and accommodating. Steak was soooo good. Yes I've had Kobe while in Tokyo, but this was just cooked perfectly and served with the best complimentary items. I also opted for the Garlic rice which was a great addition. If you're in Kobe, try to get reservations.

It's a pretty interesting place! It's very small and doesn't look much like a proper restaurant, but this actually contributes to the experience, as it's that much more personal. The menu is very simple, you basically don't have a choice. It's steak with some veggies on the side. The chef cooks the steak in front of you, pretty cool. The steak is awesome, certainly worth the money. It literally melsts in the mouth, no need for chewing at all. Chef said it was Tajima beef, the last pure Japanese breed left. If you are hesitating, just go and try it, you won't regret it!Just make sure to call and make a reservation, as the place is very small and gets packed quickly.

Excellent Teppanyaki, best wagyu, I have had for the best prices, great beer, great service. Friendly chef and his grandmother make the best garlic fried rice. They say it is the best and they aren't lying.

Excellent food with an intimate atmosphere. Chef Nori did a wonderful job not only cooking but explaining the Tajima beef we were ready to consume. He is accompanied by his charming mother and an additional wait staff member. We could not be more charmed by the experience. Oh, and the beef was to die for. The carrots a close second. I paired the dinner a nice dry sake and would highly recommend.

Super delicious meat. Well marbled and served cooked to perfection right in front of you. The chef owner is a really chill guy. Ask him about Japanese seaweed when you go.Don't order to share though. It's rude. Also don't try to do fifty fifty on the different cuts because the chef will think you're insane and uncultured. When choosing between the two options, go for the ヒレ

Such a familiar place. Mother (90) and son running that place and really care for the guests and high quality food! The menu is tiny, but you'll get your Kobe beef 😉 (sirloin or tenderloin). And it's delicious! The roasted garlic rice was really good as well! Highly recommendable
